A facilities-management company has announced plans to nearly double its local workforce as a result of rapid growth.
FacilitySource said it will add 272 workers and expand its existing operations at 200 E. Campus View Blvd. on the Far North Side by more than 32,000 square feet. It also will retain 317 jobs.
Most the new jobs will pay $23.31 an hour to start. The expansion will cost $1.5 million.
The project is contingent upon approval of state incentives, which are expected later this month. JobsOhio, the state’s nonprofit economic-development organization, also is expected to be offer assistance.
On Monday night, Columbus City Council signed off on incentives worth between $339,000 and $407,000 over four years.
“Our Columbus expansion will enable us to keep up with the demands of our growing customer base,” said Bill Hayden, the company’s CEO, in a statement. “The Columbus region’s central location allows us to easily access and serve our clients across the country.”
The company was founded in 2001. It offers alternatives to traditional facility maintenance management, including support software and transaction centers for customer relations.
